Theatrical reading with music of the text SAUFS, with Nathalie Kousnetzoff, Nelson Rafaell Madel, Mia Delmaë, and D’ de Kabal, followed by a discussion with Éloïse Bouton and Sokhna Fall, organized as part of the Hors Limites festival at La Médiathèque Marguerite Duras in Paris 20th arrondissement, March 26, 2022.
Co-written by Éloïse Bouton and D’ de Kabal, SAUFS stages two characters in conversation. She identifies as a white queer woman and he identifies as a straight Black man. They exchange ideas, reflect, share, question themselves, investigate their own lives, their paths, their respective histories.
By addressing topics around their intimacy, sexuality, consent, various forms of violence, and different forms of interaction between these concepts, the two protagonists build a surprisingly unifying discourse. Under what circumstances can two beings who seem so different feel so alike?
