For several months from 2016 to 2017, with photographer Erwan Balanant, I accompanied volunteers from ADSF (Acting for Women’s Health) during outreach visits to women in extreme precarity in shantytowns and social housing hotels in Paris and its suburbs.

This exhibition traces our encounters with these nameless women, living in tin shacks hidden under the metro bridge in Saint-Denis (93) or behind hotel facades in the Paris region. We pass by them every day without even paying attention. Who are these women and what is their daily life on the streets, in shantytowns, or in social housing hotels? Health, housing, unemployment, sexuality—what difficulties do they face? And why are women in precarity exposed to greater problems than men?
This work was notably exhibited at La Villa des Arts and at the High Council for Equality between Women and Men.
